Developmental Services HR- Strategy Forum 2016
We were lucky to have one of our own, Jennifer Hanna, attend this year’s Developmental Services Human Resources Strategy Forum.
Here’s her experience from the Developmental Services HR Forum:
I attended the annual DSHR Strategy Forum in Feb 2016. A big thank you to all those involved and the committees that worked tirelessly in putting the whole event together!
Personally, I gained some inspiration from the keynote speaker on Change Management, which encouraged me to come up with my own ‘Life Anchor’ to get through those stressful times. A practical discussion on Mental Health in the Workplace, Succession Planning, and a full afternoon with a lawyer on employment practices were all part of the excellent experience.
The lovely dinner and awards celebration followed our busy day and ended with the comedic performance by Timothy Boyle! Both the Minister of Community Social Services and the Deputy Minister were in attendance, which only amped up the commitment level and encouragement. Overall, great content, met wonderful people and gained a new perspective on developmental services.
