Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Adults with a developmental disability (age 18+) who wish to live independently, with some support may receive support through our Supported Independent Living Program (SIL).

People supported through the SIL program live in their own homes (apartment, subsidized housing etc.) and may work, volunteer, and participate in daily activities.  They also receive support based on their specific needs, i.e. grocery shopping, budgeting, connecting with services such as employment resources and recreational activities, legal and medical appointments, etc.

Access to this program is through the Developmental Services Ontario — Central West Region. For more information, please visit: www.dsocwr.ca
