April 2026 Days of Significance
Dear EAFWR Community,
As we step into April, we recognize several important Days of Significance that bring awareness, celebration, and reflection. This month, we highlight World Autism Awareness Day, Bengali New Year/Tamil New Year/Vaisakhi, Easter, and Earth Day.
World Autism Awareness Day – April 2
World Autism Awareness Day is a time to build understanding, acceptance, and support for people on the autism spectrum. It encourages us to challenge myths about autism and to value neurodiversity in our communities.
The 2026 theme, “Autism and Humanity – Every Life Has Value,” focuses on recognizing the dignity and worth of autistic people. It reminds us that autistic people are an important part of our shared human experience and deserve equal rights, respect, and inclusion. By embracing neurodiversity, communities become stronger, more creative, and more inclusive for everyone.
