Celebrating Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region/Build Now University Avenue East Project

Representatives of Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region (EAFWR) were thrilled to be present for Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region’s groundbreaking June 26th “Build Now” announcement. We are proud to be a partner in the transformative University Avenue East project, which will bring over 1,000 much-needed attainable and affordable homes to Waterloo.

EAFWR’s partnership is through the Union Co-Operative which will make housing available for 10 adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities within its 160 unit Co-op as part of the Build Now development. Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region will partner with Union Co-Operative to foster a community of belonging for all. “We are proud to collaborate with forward-thinking partners like Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region and Build Now, as well as Union Co-Op to make housing more accessible for all,” said Al Mills, Executive Director of Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region.
