2026 Bidding to be #BetterTogether Online Auction!

Winning bidders have been contacted with instructions for payment and item pickup. Stay tuned for next year’s online auction!

100% of the funds raised will support EAFWR’s Community Development Initiatives focused on growing our core values of belonging, community, equity, and relationships in Waterloo Region.

Open Space Groups

Our Open Space groups are held throughout Waterloo Region and are open to people of all abilities, backgrounds, and interests. From Coffee & Chats at Conestoga and Fairview Malls to Games & Drop‑In at the Kitchener Public Library, these gatherings reduce isolation, spark friendships, and help people make new connections, or reconnect with familiar faces.

Caregiver Connection Groups:

Since 2023, our Caregiver Connection Groups have provided a welcoming space for caregivers and children aged 0-8 waiting for Special Services at Home funding to build connections, discuss challenges and support one another. These groups offer a supportive environment for parents and caregivers to connect and discuss their challenges. For many children, it provides a first opportunity to participate in a program independently, building an increased sense of confidence and autonomy for them and their caregiver.

Youth Hub:

Developed for teens with disabilities aged 12–17 and open to all, our Youth Hubs at Kitchener Public Library and Cambridge Public Library are inclusive groups that support connection, skill‑building, and belonging in our community.

KW Library of Things:

As a project of EAFWR, the KW Library of Things (KWLOT) is more than a lending library for infrequently used items – it’s a hub for skill‑building and opportunity. KWLOT provides volunteer and employment skills training for people with developmental disabilities, while making everyday tools and resources accessible to the broader community.

Trainings:

Our Inclusion and Understanding Conflict & Communication trainings equip participants with practical tools to navigate differences, communicate respectfully, and respond with confidence in real‑life situations, strengthening workplaces, organizations, and community spaces.

Self-Advocacy:

We offer spaces and opportunities that help people build self‑advocacy skills, grow as leaders, and amplify their voice, so they can take part in shaping the equitable communities we all deserve, in Waterloo Region and across Canada.
