What has the global pandemic taught us about how people belong in their communities? What have we learned, and what action can we take to address this?
The pandemic shone a spotlight on a reality that was all too familiar for many people with disabilities. Many are alone, isolated and left behind with few social relationships. How can we change this narrative and reality? How can we find hope as we slowly emerge from a time of isolation?
At this year’s Direct Support Person Conference, our speakers will engage participants with practical solutions in helping those we support be noticed and known members of their communities. We aren’t working to return to normal. Instead, we see a better future for those we support. We see a future of hope, relationships and community.
