About Walk-or-Wheel

This is the Walk-or-Wheel (WOW) event that you have come to know and love – only better! We’ve taken all of the parts of WOW that are amazing and we have added a new twist that we hope you enjoy.

This year, we are challenging everyone to participate in WOW 2021! Regardless of your fitness or activity level, this year’s format is flexible and sure to be a hit with everyone in your family or network. Participate solo, with your Direct Support Person, or your family – everyone can get involved and have some fun!

Instead of walking all together this year, the WOW Activities Passport includes a number of different activities for you (and your team) to participate in, located around Waterloo Region, that will get you active, exploring, and enjoying some fresh spring air!

Sponsorship

We rely heavily on the support from our community sponsors to bring you Walk-or-Wheel and this year is no different!

We have the following sponsorship opportunities available for 2021. If you have any questions, please email Becky Klokoff at becky.klokoff@eafwr.on.ca

Double the Impact! Sponsor: Make the pledges from our community participants go even further by matching their donations! You decide whether you want to match up to 25%, 50% or 100% of the donations we receive and make an even bigger impact right here in our community.
Branded Swag: Want to spread the word about your business? We’d be happy to include your branded swag in our popular Snack Bags! Pens, sunglasses, pads of paper, earbuds, reusable bags, etc. Just contact us today to work out the details!

Keep Connected

One of the things we love most about Walk-or-Wheel is being together, getting caught up with friends, the smiles and the laughs. Even though this is not the way we had imagined WOW 2021, we still want to bring you all of those things this year – just in a different way.

We hope these activities will bring you some smiles and help you feel connected until we can be together in-person again (hopefully soon!).

Chalk Your Walk: Decorate your sidewalk and let people know that you are participating in WOW 2021 in support of Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region. Use our hashtag #WalkorWheel!

Past Photos: Have you participated in EAFWR’s Walk-or-Wheel in the past? Share a photo with us of your favourite memory. We can’t wait to see them all! Post on social media and tag us @eafwr

Get Groovy: Turn up the tunes while you’re participating in one of our many WOW Passport Challenges this year! Check it out here: Walk-or-Wheel Playlist on Spotify
