DESCRIPTION:Sex Talks is a workshop series all about sexual health and relationships. We will talk about consent and boundaries\, gender and sexuality\, masturbation\, staying safe online and more. All questions are good questions and you will have time to ask about anything you want. \nSex Talks is a series of one-hour workshops\, over six consecutive weeks. It is designed for people 16+ who have a developmental and/or physical disability\, and is delivered in partnership with SHORE Centre. People under the age of 18 will receive a caregiver/guardian consent form to have signed before the series begins. SUMMARY:WRDSS Evening Speaker Series Presents: Nutrition and Specific Health Concerns for People with Down Syndrome: A Proactive Approach with Dr. Danielle O’Connor
DESCRIPTION:The Waterloo Regional Down Syndrome Society (WRDSS) will host Dr. Danielle O’Connor as part of their Evening Speaker Series on Wednesday October 16. \nDr. Danielle O’Connor has been a Naturopathic Doctor for over 15 years and has a clinical focus on treating children with Down Syndrome\, Autism\, ADHD\, anxiety\, OCD\, tics and Tourette’s as well as chronic pain and infections such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome\, Fibromyalgia\, and Lyme disease.  Dr. Danielle lectures internationally on these subjects and is a Board Member of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario under the Ministry of Health. \nDanielle continues to develop her training with the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs in Biomedical treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorder\, ADHD\, childhood anxiety\, OCD and ODD.  She also believes there is a need to look into the prevention of many of these disorders when there is a known predisposition. \nThose in attendance will receive a free healthy eating meal plan and smoothie guide. After her presentation there will be a Q&A\, as well as refreshments and socializing. \nCost: WRDSS Members: $5 each.
