It is designed for people 16+ who have a developmental and/or physical disability\, and is delivered in partnership with SHORE Centre. People under the age of 18 will receive a caregiver/guardian consent form to have signed before the series begins. It is designed for people 16+ who have a developmental and/or physical disability\, and is delivered in partnership with SHORE Centre. People under the age of 18 will receive a caregiver/guardian consent form to have signed before the series begins. DESCRIPTION:Join us each Wednesday at Seven Shores Community Cafe. All are welcome. \nOpen Space is a weekly gathering that promotes inclusion within the community by getting people together at a cafe for food\, fun and conversation. All are encouraged and welcome regardless of ability\, and you do not need to be supported by Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region to attend. Bring a friend\, and enjoy. \nIn addition to weekly coffee and conversation\, with the support of facilitators\, attendees plan special events such as Halloween parties\, Open Mic Nights and special guest nights. \nHosted in all three cities in Waterloo Region\, Open Space is geared to being fully accessible for everyone. SUMMARY:Ball Hockey Tournament - Neighbour's Day Extravaganza
DESCRIPTION:Get ready to face off with your friends\, family and neighbours at this year’s Ball Hockey Tournament\, part of City of Kitchener’s Neighbour’s Day on June 8th! Enjoy a change of playing surface that warmer weather and sunshine brings at the Stanley Park Community Centre’s parking lot. Invite your friends\, build a team\, and get ready to play for the title of Ball Hockey Champion! All ages and abilities are welcome. Build your own team or register as an individual. \nEnjoy family-friendly activities\, including ukulele sessions and parachute games with Kitchener Public Library\, ball hockey with Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region\, a bike course delivered annually by the Stanley Park Optimist Club\, a free BBQ lunch and entertainment courtesy of the Stanley Park Community Association\, a garage sale at St. Anthony Daniel Church and so much more! \nRegistration is free. Fill out the registration on Eventbrite if you’d like to play. A schedule will be made available in the week leading up to the tournament.
