DESCRIPTION:Join Bridges to Belonging on Oct. 2 as they celebrate the 10th anniversary of the creation of the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP)\, a Canada-wide registered matched savings plan specific for people with disabilities. RDSP is designed as a long-term savings plan to help the holder be better financially prepared for their future. \nOne of the goals of this event is to raise awareness of RDSP to those who are eligible\, but have not yet opened an RDSP account. \nThe plan is open to anyone who: \n\nhas a social insurance number\nis eligible for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC)\, and the Canada Child Tax Benefit if you have a child under the age of 19.\nfiles income tax returns\nchooses the holder (someone who makes the financial decisions)\nis younger than 60 years old\n\nOnce an RDSP is opened\, any $1 that is deposited could be matched by the government up to $3.
