SUMMARY:Dimensional Interlude Art Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Exhibit runs until February 24\, 2026 \nDimensional Interlude is an exhibition that tells stories about aspects of life in Ghana\, West Africa with paintings depicting figures in dreamlike and abstract realms. Specifically\, Jasmin-Nicole explores the imagery of metaphysical and cultural expressions related to her Ghanaian heritage. Central to this project are themes of temporal fluidity and layered existence\, where subjects include mythical creatures\, people\, deities\, and natural elements. These figures traverse liminal spaces and states of being\, moving between boundaries such as life and death\, and the divine and mortal. The exhibition invites visitors to consider how mythological narratives from West Africa inform both individual and cultural perspectives. \nThe exhibition is supported by the Region of Waterloo and Waterloo Region Community Foundation Arts Grants Fund. \nLearn More

Well\, this Living Library of Human Books are people who have or have had a disability\, and face barriers to building relationships with others. Each of their stories will explore their journey to health and happiness through connections to others. \nThese stories can sometimes go unheard\, unacknowledged or unappreciated. Coming together for our Turning the Page evening brings these silenced stories to Readers\, like you\, who are eager to listen and learn. \nBring along your curiosity\, as our generous volunteer Human Books will be open to questions and conversations. \nOur Human Books will be available on a rotation throughout the evening\, and a schedule will be published closer to the day. The readings will be with small groups of Readers. \nLight dinner and refreshments will be available throughout the evening. \nInterested in attending? Please register using the form below!
