NEWS RELEASE: Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region names Courtney Horowitz as Director of Operations
Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region (EAFWR) is pleased to announce that Courtney Horowitz has accepted the invitation to serve as Director of Operations.
“As a valued member of our organization for eight years, Courtney has demonstrated her commitment to building meaningful relationships with the people we serve, our families, our staff and partners,” says Allan Mills, executive director at Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region. “Her extensive background in developmental services, along with her strong communication skills and understanding of organizational needs, will be a welcome addition to our Leadership Team.
Horowitz previously worked as the Respite and Inclusion Coordinator at the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHAWW), prior to joining Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region. In 2018, Horowitz completed her Masters of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership degree from Carleton University, which provided her with a wide knowledge base, specifically tailored to supporting an effective and efficient non-profit organization.
In her most recent role as the Manager of Special Projects, she supported several facets of the organization’s operation, including data management, overseeing software applications and processes, and supporting EAFWR’s strategic plan and accreditation developments.
