The purpose of the Community Groups is to support members to participate in community while encouraging the group to make connections to places and people. As groups begin connecting to places and people in community, the hope is that these groups will eventually meet together without paid support.
This is accomplished through…
- Small group format of 3 members and 1 Community Connector (3:1)
- Community Connector facilitation to develop group norms and safety
- Developing relationships in community
- Becoming more confident and independent
- Leadership development
The cost of an annual membership is $1500 + $200 operational fee to offset Community Connector expenses. This includes 160 hrs of group support (April 1 – March 31). The schedule is to be determined by group members.
