CHAP Program
CHAP Program
- The CHAP Program connects people with disabilities and CHAP workers through a Family Registry and a Worker Bank
- It helps families connect with and hire independent CHAP workers
- People who are approved for Special Services at Home (SSAH) are able to use the CHAP Program
- The CHAP Program has a CHAP Coordinator who helps families find and sign up CHAP workers
- The CHAP Program is a web-based service through the respiteservices.com website
- The respiteservices.com website has information about agencies in Waterloo Region who serve people who are developmentally disabled
- Respiteservices.com cares about your privacy. Information that is given is protected and only used to connect families and possible CHAP workers, share information and periodic updating
The CHAP Program will be available through respiteservices.com beginning July 5th.
At first EAF will be spending time 'building up the worker bank' over the summer. During this time families will also be able to register, with the understanding that the 'matching process' (providing families with worker information/profiles to choose from) will begin closer towards the end of the summer or early fall.
